People interested in expanding their IT knowledge or starting a career in the high-tech industry will find what they are looking for in the Cisco Networking Academy Program at the Association for the Blind of Western Australia. Not only will students have access to IT content written by a team of IT education experts, they will also be exposed to a rich learning experience through online media and hands-on labs.

The Academy program includes web-based courses complete with engaging activities and interactive quizzes, along with valuable hands-on lab exercises for real world experience.

The Academy operates from within the Industry Skills Centre at the Association for the Blind and provides the option of attending formal classes for local students, or participating online. For students participating in live lectures online, a microphone headset is required. These can be purchased at most electronics stores or online.   Training is delivered in a format that is accessible to people with a vision impairment.
